Dustin Bird unveils new single, “Cowboy Stay”
With over 2.2 million streams to his name, rising artist, songwriter, and producer Dustin Bird is pushing the boundaries of the country genre with his unique style and evocative storytelling.
He has released his single, “Cowboy Stay,” which continues the storyline of his 2021 single “Get Go,” where Dustin proclaims his love for a partner he has yet to meet. In “Cowboy Stay” the lovers have united with a bond so strong that even a wild cowboy will hang up his hat and settle down.

Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
My name is Dustin Bird, and I’m a country artist, songwriter & producer from Stirling, Ontario.
Tell us a bit about your most recent release.
“Cowboy Stay,” tells a story as old as love itself. The wild type, a little rough around the edges, finds that someone who (for the first time) causes a willingness to radically change their perspective and embrace all that love has to offer.
From a production standpoint, I wanted the song to musically reflect the dichotomy of the lyric between verses and choruses to convey how powerful love can be in shifting one’s perspective.
Where do you tend to pull inspiration from when writing?
I think inspiration is all around us, so I simply open myself up to every experience and feeling, and try my best to be a vessel for it.
Do you have any upcoming shows or festivals you’d like to tell us about?

What’s your goal for 2022?
2022 has been for me, as I think it has for so many of us, emerging from a lot of time spent limited in travel and socialization. For me specifically, this translated into countless hours in the studio; alone, remotely collaborating, writing, and recording. The ongoing support of Canadian Beats, your readers, my fans, my label, and my family, fuelled this process, resulting in my creation of some of my best music to date.
It starts with Cowboy Stay, and then the tracks are set to follow, all of which I’m really to eager share with you all and the world.
