Finland’s AFTER INFINITY Unveils Single “Everlasting Mark” ft. Guest Vocals Sara Strömmer (Shereign)
Finnish melodic metal act After Infinity release their new single “Everlasting Mark”, featuring guest vocalist Sara Strömmer of Shereign.
The track offers a heavier, more intense perspective on the band’s upcoming sophomore album, “Beyond Eternity,” due for release on October 23rd, 2026, via Rockshots Records.
Following the bright, synth-driven energy of previous single “Infinite Feeling”, “Everlasting Mark” balances driving melodies with a heavier edge, further expanding the musical spectrum explored across “Beyond Eternity“.
Sara Strömmer‘s performance plays a central role in shaping the track’s character. Her vocals shift from soft and clean passages to aggressive and brutal delivery, emphasizing the contrasts within the composition and reinforcing its balance between melodic accessibility and heavier expression.

Founded in 2022 by Dreamtale and Frozen Factory guitarist Zsolt Szilagyi, After Infinity blend melodic power metal, heavy metal and progressive influences with layered orchestration, rich synthesizers and dynamic songwriting.
“Beyond Eternity” builds upon the foundations established by the band’s 2024 self-titled debut, moving between fast-paced power metal, heavier progressive compositions, atmospheric interludes and piano-led ballads with each song fulfilling a distinct role within the album.
The record brings together an extensive cast of guest vocalists, including Paolo Ribaldini, Aitor Arrastia, Nitte Valo, Mika Tauriainen, Leonard F. Guillan and Sara Strömmer, while maintaining a cohesive musical identity anchored by Szilagyi‘s songwriting.
Produced by Zsolt Szilagyi, “Beyond Eternity” features orchestrations and synthesizers by Gideon Ricardo and bass performances by Ville Koskinen. Most of the album, including “Everlasting Mark”, was mixed by Benjamin Connelly for Duskswitch Production, while mastering was handled by Jasse Kesti at Kesthouse.
First off, care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hey there! My name is Zsolt Szilagyi, and I am the founder, songwriter, and guitar player of After Infinity, a power metal band from Helsinki, Finland. Our music varies from soft, cheesy ballads to fast and heavy riffs, seasoned with some complex structures and proggy moments as well as orchestral elements.
Tell us a bit about your recent release.
Our sophomore release, Beyond Eternity, can be described as a direct continuation of our debut album After Infinity. Like the debut, this one also features multiple singers from our local music scene, such as Sara Strömmer from Shereign, Mika Tauriainen from Entwine, and Paolo Ribaldini from Leverage.
Walk us through your creative process when creating music.
Well, usually a song starts from some idea, for example, a riff or a melody. I start by identifying if it’s a main riff, chorus melody, or something else, and then I build the rest of the song around that by playing around, trying out what kind of section would follow naturally from the original idea. If I run out of ideas, I reach out to my library of ideas to see if there’s another cool idea that could work together with this idea. The lyrics either come after the whole song is musically finished, or they might be part of the original idea, which is usually the case with the slower ballads.
Now that the music is out, what does the ‘road ahead’ look like? Beyond tours and videos, what’s one ‘bucket list’ goal you hope to achieve with this release?
This band has, for now, only been a studio project, but it has been on our bucket list to do a live show. And that’s exactly what we’re gonna do 2 weeks after the album release, on 6th of November in Lepakkomies, Helsinki. Joining us will be another great Finnish power metal act, Gladenfold, and we’re super excited to play these songs live for the first time. If the live concept seems to be working, it would be great to do a bigger tour; some summer festivals around Europe would be amazing!
Every artist has a ‘lightbulb moment’ where things just clicked. Looking back, what’s the one performance or milestone that made you realize, ‘Okay, this is what I was meant to do’?
For me personally, one big moment was my first show in China with my other band, Dreamtale. The reception there was something completely different than what I was used to, and I found out I really enjoy sharing our music in a live situation with enthusiastic fans.
We love championing Canadian talent. If you were curating a ‘Must-Listen’ playlist of emerging artists right now, who is the first person you’d add?
Well, sorry to say I’m not Canadian, so I’m not super familiar with that music scene! But the first Canadian band that comes to mind from my genre is Unleash the Archers; I love their stuff. They have visited Finland a couple of times, but I haven’t been able to catch them yet, so I’m eagerly waiting for them to return, hopefully at a time and place I’m able to go and see them.
There’s nothing like the energy of a live room. Where can fans catch you on stage next, and for someone seeing you for the first time, what should they expect from a After Infinity live experience?
Lepakkomies, Helsinki, 6th of November. Our first live show ever, so we don’t even know ourselves exactly what to expect! But what we aim for is a natural live show with no backing tracks, just 4 instrumentalists and 4 singers giving their best on a Friday night. Hope to see many faces to witness our first show!
