JULIA SOUND featuring DOLLY DE GUERRE & YO MEGASONIC RELEASE NEW SINGLE “ONE LOVE”
Earlier this month, a trio of Canada’s top artistic talents – Julia Sound, Dolly De Guerre and Yo Megasonic – released their new single “One Love” via Boomsmack Records.
A composer, songwriter, producer & mixer – Lin Gardiner, aka Julia Sound, has a decorated history in the music business that has spanned years (and countries). Julia Sound is a collective she started in 2020, with 2026 marking the release of a new album with lead single “One Love” featuring collaborators singer Dolly De Guerre and rapper Yo Megasonic.
Gardiner says
“I wanted to make a track that focuses on love and unity, even in times of both personal and global adversity. I knew that Dolly and Yo would bring their magic to this one, and they didn’t disappoint.”
Dolly adds
“These lyrics and vocal melody express the pure joy and optimism of togetherness, contrasted with absence. The chorus is especially chantable, uniting singers in an unadorned but powerful chant.”
“The rapped verses are written about being able to find those calm places in the centre of the storms in life” continues Yo. “I heard the chorus and began to think about coming home to a place of comfort, where it’s possible to rise above the madness we are seeing in the world today. This song is about looking towards the light, and about calling home those who may have lost their way.”
