JESSICA SOLE DELIVERS STUNNING NEW SINGLE, “STRANGERS DON’T”

FIRST RELEASE WITH NEW MOTOR RECORDS HIGHLIGHTS ONE OF CANADA’S MOST COMPELLING NEW SONGWRITING VOICES

Rising Canadian country artist Jessica Sole today releases her new single “Strangers Don’t,” a haunting mid-tempo ballad that captures the quiet devastation of love slipping into the distance. The release marks Sole’s first single with New Motor Records and signals a confident new chapter for the Shelburne, Ontario native – one defined by emotional depth and songwriting maturity.

Written by Sole with Patrick Kordyback (Delta Sweet, Stereos) and Madison Banham, “Strangers Don’t” explores the painful in-between stage of a breakup – when someone you once knew better than anyone slowly becomes a stranger again. The song’s understated arrangement allows Sole’s honey-smooth vocals and raw honesty to take the lead, delivering a universal story.

“‘Strangers Don’t’ is a heartbreak song about forcing yourself to move on from someone who once felt like home,” says Sole. “I had been sitting with this idea for a little while, but before bringing it into the writers room, I wanted my emotions to be a little more lived in, instead of writing while they were still raw. It’s a really universal feeling, which is why after bringing in the first verse, the song almost wrote itself.”

“Strangers Don’t” reflects Sole’s recent growth through expanded co-writing, cuts with other artists and a growing catalogue of unreleased material signaling a year that will be filled with releases.

With a single-lane highway leading home to Shelburne, Ontario, Sole’s ambitions have steadily expanded beyond her hometown. In 2024, she broke nationally with a #1 single on SiriusXM’s Top of the Country channel for “Heads Up,” and has continued building momentum with releases including “Lightning Strikes” and “Homesick.”

Sole has built a strong digital presence with over 20,000 followers and more than 5 million views on TikTok, while continuing to make her mark on stages across the country. Her live highlights include CCMA Country Music Week showcases in 2024 and 2025, Toronto’s CNE Country Stage, Blue Mountain Countryfest, Thunder Bay’s Live on the Waterfront and Canada Day celebrations in Milton, ON.
