PUP
November 25, 2025
Commodore Ballroom, Vancouver, BC
On November 25th, Toronto-formed punk band PUP (abbreviation for Pathetic Use of Potential) brought their WORLD’S COOLEST GUYS CANADA TOUR 2025 to the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver. The show was the second of three shows in the city due to overwhelming demand.
The band is touring in support of their newest album, Who Will Look After the Dogs? It is a raw, emotionally direct record that dives into heartbreak, self-doubt, and the messy work of rebuilding your life. It’s the band at their most vulnerable and unfiltered, turning personal chaos into cathartic, high-energy punk anthems.
After a brief intro with Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie,” the band took to the stage and opened with the first track of their newest album, “No Hope.” The energy turned up quickly, with moshing and crowd surfing ensuing. After the first song, frontman Stefan Babcock addressed the crowd and encouraged everyone to have a good time, but to be safe and make sure everyone else around was having fun.
The band sprinkled in new songs like “Olive Garden”, “Concrete” and “Hunger for Death” — but really treated fans with all their hits like “DVP”, “Kids”, “Dark Days”, “Sleep In The Heat”, “If This Tour Doesn’t Kill You, I Will”, and an epic cover of Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage” with help from the openers Snotty Nose Rez Kids.
PUP’s Who Will Look After the Dogs? is the band at their most vulnerable and unfiltered, turning personal chaos into cathartic, high-energy punk anthems. Their live show is no exception — all crushing riffs, breakneck drumming, and a crowd that never stops moving. Mark my words: a PUP show will not disappoint.
