Atreyu’s return to Montreal came with a clear purpose: to celebrate 20 years of The Curse—and they did it in the most fitting way possible by performing the entire album front to back. From start to finish, the band was on absolute fire, delivering a tight, explosive performance that reminded everyone why The Curse remains such an important album in metalcore.
A standout moment came when Brandon Saller stepped back behind the drums for “An Interlude” and “Corseting,” creating a wave of nostalgia that longtime fans soaked up. Montreal, never one to sit quietly, erupted into the classic “Olé, Olé” chant, which only amped up the atmosphere. Brandon even took things a step further by jumping into the crowd—something the fans absolutely ate up.
For the encore, Atreyu came out swinging with a set of heavy-hitting fan favorites, including:
- Becoming the Bull
- Ex’s and Oh’s
- Dead
- Blow
- Lip Gloss and Black
The only real disappointment was that none of the encore tracks came from Baptize, which felt like a missed opportunity—especially for those who hold that album close. Still, the evening stood as a powerful, heartfelt celebration of The Curse and a reminder of why Atreyu’s live shows remain something special.
