ABYGALE DURIE CHANNELS COUNTRY ROOTS AND TIMELESS VALUES ON HEARTFELT NEW SINGLE ‘OLD SCHOOL IN YOU’
Rising Canadian country artist Abygale Durie has released her reflective new song “Old School In You.”. Co-written with Corey Barker and produced by Matt McKay, the track delivers a heartfelt tribute to the kind of love that never goes out of style – one rooted in honesty and timeless values.
With its blend of modern production and classic country spirit, “Old School In You” showcases Durie’s sincerity as both a writer and performer. The Alberta-born artist says she wanted the song to have a “two-step beat for people to dance to,” while carrying a message of hope and warmth.
“Sometimes it’s just the small things that people do for one another that matter most,” she explains. “To me, that is love.”
Durie originally wrote the song several years ago in Nashville, and held onto it, waiting for the right moment to release it.
“I feel like the world needs a little more of that old school love right now,” she says, “and I hope the song is inspiring to listeners.”
“Old School In You” is the first of a series of songs Durie plans to release over the coming months as she marks a new creative chapter. She will return to Nashville in December for writing sessions and continues to focus on building momentum as she looks toward an exciting 2026.
