I was sitting in my basement, reflecting on past relationships—whether it was friendships or romantic ones—and I realized that for much of my teenage years into early adulthood, I had been a people pleaser. I often tolerated things that didn’t serve me or support my growth. “No Room For Bitchin’” came from a place of wanting to empower myself. Writing it was my way of reclaiming my voice, reminding myself that I can be exactly who I want to be—unapologetically and without compromise. That mindset is what inspired the song.
The line “I found a boy, had to let him go” hits hard. Do you see this song more as personal diary, or as a universal anthem?
I see this song as both. Every song I write feels like a page from my diary, and this one is no exception. But what makes it stand out is how bold, clear, and empowering it is—I think that’s what gives it the potential to connect with so many people. Even though it’s rooted in my own experience, there’s a universal strength in it that anyone can tap into. I wanted this to be a song to truly reflect where I’m at—and I think that energy comes through. “No Room For Bitchin’” was the song that pushed me to go deeper into myself, and now it’s the song that lets you say, loud and proud, “I got no room for bitchin’.”
The TikTok line dance is blowing up—did you ever imagine your song would become part of people’s Friday night dance routines?
“Oh my gosh, never in a million years! When I wrote this song, I just hoped people would feel good listening to it. Seeing families, friends, and strangers all moving together on a Friday night—it feels like the music is creating community. That’s the best gift I could ask for.”

The story I want this album to tell is one of growth—through pain, acceptance, and even joy. It’s about seeing things for what they truly are and figuring out where to go from there. When I was writing this album, I was in a place where I was learning a lot—not just about who I am as an artist, but also about who I am as a person. Navigating life, making mistakes, falling in love, heartbreak—it’s all part of growing up. Sometimes, looking back at where we’ve been helps us understand where we are now.
Each song on this album represents a different part of that journey. They each tell their own story, but together, they form a bigger picture—one that shows I’m human, I’m learning as I go, and that my music will always share that side of me. More than anything, I just want to connect with people.
