On August 24th, Canadian pop rock icons and local legends, Marianas Trench brought infectious energy to the PNE Summer Night Concerts in Vancouver, BC. Thousands filled the Pacific Coliseum on Sunday night, belting out the songs that defined their teenage years while also embracing new tracks from the band’s latest album, Haven.
Marianas Trench, formed in Vancouver in 1999, features Josh Ramsay (vocals), Matt Webb (guitar), Mike Ayley (bass), and Ian Casselman (drums). The band has released six studio albums and have seen great success. Masterpiece Theatre and Ever After went double platinum, with hits like “Haven’t Had Enough” and “Fallout” reaching triple-platinum certification in Canada.
Josh Ramsay’s showmanship and crowd connection shone throughout the night. His flamboyant personality and playful banter kept fans engaged, turning the concert into an experience that went far beyond just the music.
A Marianas Trench staple, Ramsay’s powerhouse vocals soared while the rest of the band locked in with flawless harmonies. Fans sang along to favourites such as “Desperate Measures”, “Cross My Heart”, “Fallout” and ”Stutter”.
