How do you even begin to sum up 10 of the biggest acts to hit Edmonton this whole summer? Well, Rockin’ Thunder did it.
Queensryche, Toque, Bret Michaels, Joan Jett, Def Leppard on day 1.
Default, The Trews, Sam Roberts Band, Stone Temple Pilots, and Weezer on day 2.

Incredible production, fantastic weather, and stellar performances all around, capped off with great vibes – Happy, friendly concertgoers enjoying 2 days in the sun… We couldn’t ask for more.
Standout performances for me were definitely Queensryche, Toque, Def Leppard, STP, and Weezer. These are bands way deep into their careers that are still putting on absolute, concrete performances.
Another highlight for me this weekend was spending time hanging out with Rick Campanelli – also known as “Rick The Temp” from back in the MuchMusic days. That man is as genuine as they come, with a heart of gold.

This could easily turn into a novel if I’m not careful – I honestly just have so many good things to say about this festival, its organizers, and crew. I’m already looking forward to next year!
