Singer-songwriter Mike McKenna Jr. has unveiled the official video for “Grassfire,” the haunting and heartfelt single off his latest full-length album Smokey Mountain High (released November 1, 2024). Directed by Halifax-based filmmaker Brendan “Moose” Lyle (aka @moosecanfly), the video is a visual love letter to Cape Breton Island, where both the artist and the story behind “Grassfire” were born. Hamilton, Ontario baroque-pop quartet Superstar Crush share their latest single, “They Keep Calling,” a bombastic power ballad rooted in female rage, emotional exhaustion, and mutual care. Tugging at the threads of pop-rock melodrama, the track is the latest preview of their debut album, Way Too Much, due August 5th, and a vivid portrait of creative camaraderie and burnout survival. Calgary’s own The Dust Collectors are back with Cold Feet, their second album landing June 27, 2025—and it’s a beauty. Known for their rich harmonies and honest storytelling, the band leans even further into what they do best: singing about family, love, and finding meaning in the everyday.
