half•alive, The Walters, mehro

half•alive, stopped by Toronto at a seemingly sold-out Danforth Music Hall on their Persona World Tour.
The first opener of the night was mehro, the persona of Sam Sturges, played a laidback set in their Hannah Montana T-shirt, had fans in the audience who sang along to “You’re So Pretty,” and even spent an hour after their set greeting fans and signing posters.
The second opener, The Walters, played an incredibly high-energy set, amusingly without founding member Walter. The Walters had plenty of fans in the crowd and certainly made some new fans last night with their undeniably electric stage presence.
And finally, half•alive, who’s set was an absolute masterclass in putting on a live show, it looked like a spectacle no matter where in the audience you were. The show heavily included The JA Collective, the dance crew that have been a part of the half•alive story for a few years now.
