Tonight, Aussie pop icon Kylie Minogue brought her Tension Tour to Montreal for a much-awaited reunion. Indeed, the star had not played in town since 2011, 14 years ago!!
The venue was packed to the brim and everyone was dancing along before the show even started, sign of a fun night ahead. Around 8.30pm, Kylie appeared from the ceiling, Moulin Rouge style, amongst a symphony of lasers and to the sounds of Lights Camera Action. From there, the show was action packed, with 4 acts and 27 songs performed! Highlights included the classics, In Your Eyes, Can’t Get You Out of My Head, and of course the more recent, but oh-so-anthemic Padam Padam as an encore!
Kylie Minogue may be 56 years old, but she danced around the stage with the pep of a 20-year old, all while never missing a vocal! A true masterclass from a legend, showing all the younger popstars that she paved the way, and can still show how it’s done! Now we just hope it won’t be another 14 years before we see Kylie Minogue in town again!
