On March 29, French band Caravan Palace performed at the Vogue Theatre in Vancouver, BC.

Caravan Palace turned Vancouver into a full-blown electro-swing dance party, proving that no one does it quite like them. Touring in support of their latest album, Gangbusters Melody Club, the French group brought their signature mix of jazz, electronic beats, and pure theatrical energy to a sold-out Vogue Theatre. The crowd was ready, and so was the band— kicking off the night with an electrifying set.

From the moment they launched into “Clash,” it was clear this wasn’t going to be a passive concert experience. Fans chanted back “Celebrate! Celebrate!” during ‘Raccons”, “Miracle” turned the venue into a sea of raised arms, and “City Cook” had everyone grooving. This was not a crowd that came to rest. Lead singer Zoé Colotis commanded the room effortlessly, cupping her hand to her ear and getting an instant response from the audience.

As the set neared its end, Caravan Palace asked the crowd to bounce to “Rock It For Me,” and bounce they did! The main set ended with “Brotherswing,” a whirlwind of rapid-fire lyrics and high-energy instrumentals. After catching their breath, the band returned for a three-song encore.

By the time the final note rang out, the entire venue was buzzing, leaving Vancouver with only one thought: when can we do this again?
Caravan Palace will be on tour in North America until Mid-April with stops in Toronto (April 7) and Montreal (April 8).

Fellow frenchmen and Caravan Palace band-member, Zayka, opened the night.
