Last night, Japanese metalcore band Hanabie and Australian Trap Metal singer Kim Dracula kicked off their co-headlining tour in Montreal!
After opening sets from Kaonashi and Crystal Lake, we arrived just on time for Kim Dracula to hit the stage! The set was super fun, heavy and loud, with the charismatic lead singer owning the stage, and delighting the audience with fun theatrics and guttural raps!
Up next, Hanabie is always a treat to see. We first caught them opening for Jinjer back in September, and we were in for a treat! The four band members arrived on stage, dressed in the most kawaii outfits, before breaking into some heavy metal core! Particular props must be given to lead singer Yukina, who flawlessly switches up between her high-pitched, manga-like speaking voice, and some of the deepest screams you’ve ever heard while singing! Truly impressive.
All in all, it was a fun night of metal full of spectacle, to the delight of the fans who showed up in masses! Hanabie and Kim Dracula will be hitting up Toronto tonight before heading to the US. For tickets and more info, visit the band’s website.
