On a rainy Sunday night in BC, Canadian alt-rock veterans Our Lady Peace brought their 30th Anniversary Tour to the Abbotsford Centre.

Opening the show was lead singer Raine Maida’s son Rowan Maida, under the mononym Rowan.

Setting the tone next was fellow 90’s rock band Collective Soul, getting the crowd off their feet during their classic hit “Shine”. With energy from lead singer Ed Roland and infectious guitar riffs, the band powered through some of their biggest hits, “December”, “The World I Know”, and “Where The River Flows.” They even managed to cover AC/DC’s “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheep”.

Our Lady Peace took to the stage and brought a wave of nostalgia back to the crowd, playing songs like “Superman’s Dead”, “Somewhere Out There”, “Innocent”, and “Clumsy”. The band also sprinkled in new songs “I Wanna Be Your Drug” and “Sound The Alarm” off their new EP: OLP 30 Volume 1 and 2.

The night was a display of Raine Maida’s songwriting at its best and OLP showcased why they are one of Canada’s most successful alternative rock bands.
