DREW GREGORY UNVEILS NEW EP, ONE FOR THE ROAD”

Drew Gregory’s One For The Road—A Soundtrack to Life, Rooted in the Canadian Prairies

Canadian country artist Drew Gregory has released his new EP, One For The Road, a heartfelt 6-track collection that draws deep inspiration from his roots and upbringing on his family’s fifth-generation farm in the Canadian Prairies.

The EP’s title track is a poignant reflection of Drew’s journey, capturing the essence of his life experiences, the milestones that define us, and the inevitable changes that come with time.

“This song is my way of honoring the places and memories that stay with you forever, no matter where life takes you,” Drew shares.

The accompanying music video for “One For The Road,” produced and edited by Codi McIvor, was shot on Drew’s family farm and the surrounding roads that shaped his youth.

Other tracks, previously released as singles, showcase Drew’s range and versatility. “Neon Time” is a fun and upbeat anthem that invites listeners to escape the grind and embrace the moment, while “This Side Of The Dirt” is a lively celebration of gratitude and making the most of life. “Money To Burn” is a rural take on a fancy date night set with some heavy guitars on a track you would want to crank up while sitting in a truck bed under the stars. The bonus track, “Stuck,” offers an introspective close to the EP, diving into the raw emotions of feeling tethered to life’s challenges.

“Perfect World”, the only other previously unreleased track, reflects on life’s imperfections with a sense of optimism. “Perfect World” was written in Muscle Shoals Alabama and taps into that southern bluesy country/rock made famous in the town, a lot of which found its way into Drew’s parent’s vinyl collection when he was young.

“It’s fitting that “One For The Road “ will be the single we release with the EP. It was the first song we picked for this album and helped shape a lot of the rest” explains Drew. “For me, it was important to think less about recording commercial songs to please everyone and more about making sure the songs were something I was strongly connected with and excited to sing live every night. That has led to some amazing moments on stage and an even stronger connection with my audience. One For The Road is about as true a song to my life as you can get”.

Drew’s impressive vocal talent and dynamic stage presence have earned him numerous awards over the years, including the 2024 Horizon Male Artist of the Year at the Country Music Alberta Awards. He is also up for several prestigious 2025 CMAB awards, including Horizon Male Artist of the Year, Fan’s Choice, Songwriter of the Year, and Horizon Single of the Year, with the winners to be announced on March 2.

In addition to his growing recognition, Drew is gearing up for performances at upcoming events, including a performance at Stampede City Sessions on March 22 at the Webber Academy Performing Arts Centre in Calgary with Gord Bamford. Drew will also return to perform at the Calgary Stampede for the tenth year in a row, playing at Nashville North from July 9-13.
