First off care to introduce yourself to our readers?

My name is Mike Trudell a singer-songwriter from Northern Ontario.

Tell us a bit about your recent release.

My recent release is (You Can Hear a Heartbreak) it’s an upbeat heartbreak song about a guy running around in his own head over a relationship.

How do you typically go about the songwriting process?

I generally wait for the universe to send me ideas lol and when they do, I sit and write them down. It comes in waves.

Do you have a specific method or creative routine that you follow?

I generally just try and come up with a cool guitar riff and write around that… a lyric generally comes out of the process.

Looking ahead, what are your plans for supporting this new release?

We’re currently just promoting the song and video and getting ready to launch the next single (Good For Me Bad Habit) On October 11

Are there any upcoming tours, music videos, or additional content that fans can look forward to in connection with this project?

No dates are booked currently, but in the process of setting up a series of shows.

We’re currently running a promotional contest to boost the next single on the radio. Check out my Instagram for details at a chance to win a bunch of merch.

Looking back on your musical career, is there a particular moment or accomplishment that you consider a turning point or a highlight?

One of my highlights was with George Canyon, I got to play some guitar with George on a couple of shows when he came to Elliot Lake. This is what got me started.

Last but not least, it’s time to pay it forward, what upcoming band or artist would you recommend your fans check out?

If you haven’t heard of her yet, I suggest that the folks check out Elyse Saunders.. love watching the fun she’s having!
