A Gospel-infused Pop ballad that dives into the feeling of hanging onto an ambiguous relationship while hoping it will change.

also the creator and host of Top Floor Tones, a series of intimate music events, creating a
platform and actively promoting up-and-coming talent.

Just as “I Still Do,” “Foolish” was recorded as a live take with Brian Love on guitar and engineered and produced at Octagon Studios, London by Alex Hollingsworth.

Review

The lyrics of “Foolish” dive deep into the tug-of-war between hope and disappointment, with the narrator questioning whether it’s foolish to want someone to stay despite constant letdowns.

Simple yet powerful lines like “For all of the things we say, we still don’t communicate” reflect the frustration of trying to connect when words just don’t seem to cut it. The soft melody and heartfelt vocals add a layer of vulnerability, inviting listeners to reflect on their own feelings of longing and uncertainty.

The chorus, “Am I foolish to want you to stay,” repeats like a mantra, capturing the never-ending cycle of unresolved emotions.

In the end, “Foolish” is a beautifully raw look at unspoken feelings, resonating with anyone who’s ever second-guessed their heart.
