Old and new artist that you are gonna love are just at your fingertips. Coming up here on Zach’s Picks Of The Week, I will be sharing my top favourite articles from this last week. They are just right here in this post that you’re reading, so be sure to continue down this post to your possible new favourite artist. So what do you say we get started on this musical journey of ours, coming up now is going to be Zach’s Picks of the Week!!

Five

Taking on the first spot on our list is going to be, We Found a Lovebird and their latest single is “100%”, out on all streaming platforms now. It evokes a bouncy, positive vibe within, showing inspiration from 80’s rock groups like The Smiths and Prefab Sprout. Since their formation in 2009, they have had incredible success, releasing three full-length albums one EP, and being recognized by Polaris Music and the CBC. We have a Five Questions With segment with frontman Larry Lechner here.

Four

Moving on in our incredible recommendations will be Ottawa-born, but now Austin-based roots singer-songwriter Sarah Burton. She’s got a brand new single, addressing the often-awkward question some women have yet to tie the knot are often asked in earnest. It’s called “Worth Sticking Around For”, available across all streaming platforms and it’s coming off her forthcoming album Swoonville USA. You can listen to the brand new single in our article, which includes an interview with Sarah Burton here.

Three

Coming up right after that awesome recommendation will be the introduction of Vancouver’s indie pop band, ORRA. Their group has just released a brand new single, “I Knew”. And it’s a call to action for all those who want to reinvent their lives. Streaming now across all sites, the song describes a meet-cute with someone who is pursuing their dreams and inspires you to chase yours. This disco-infused song was produced by Helm Studios and resonates with fans of artists such as Lorde, Chic, and even Dua Lipa. Our Five Questions With segment with ORRA is here.

Two

Next, we have the emerging pop sensation from Vancouver and Toronto, simply known as Ella MNOP. At age 12, she is one of the youngest artists to have an original song air on radio stations in Windsor Ontario. The breakout single, “L’s with the W’s” is available across all sites and already reaching incredible heights. She makes quite the compelling case that savoring one’s triumphs depends upon learning how to lose with dignity. Be sure to check out the brand new single within our article (here) for Ella MNOP and “L’s with the W’s”.

BONUS: Canadian Beats Passport

This will be our bonus recommendation which is an artist featured from around the world. Our Canadian Beats Passport feature this week will be modern hard rock torchbearers, I Prevail from Southfield, Michigan. They have dropped an expanded edition of their latest album, TRUE POWER (EXPANDED), which you can find on all streaming sites. It includes three reimagined tracks and their recent collaboration with Baltimore, Maryland Pop punk band All Time Low. The song is titled, “Hate This Song” and you can find it everywhere as well. The entire album is available to listen to within our article which is linked here.

One

Now we have reached my final recommendation for this incredible list of new music. So please welcome Nathalie King, the Toronto-based songstress who’s liberating new single, “You” is available now.  Many people find themselves these days feeling messed up from the negative lessons they were taught by the adults in their lives growing up. So what do you do with those feelings? You write a bunch of songs about it and share it with everyone. Its stark, unvanished beauty the song captures perfectly the cascade of sometimes conflicting emotions that accompany childhood trauma and its ensuing adult self-sabotage. Check it out now within our interview (here) with Nathalie King, my number one recommendation for this week on Zach’s Picks Of The Week!

That is gonna be all of the amazing recommendations that I could stir up for you from our website.  I hope you enjoy them and I hope you tell your friends about them as well. But there is so much more to explore across our website, so be sure to check out the main page. All of these posts are also available on our social media platforms, so be sure to give us a follow.
