OSHEAGA 2024
Day 3: August 4th, 2024
With Jungle, Hozier, Hamza, Tyla, Stephen Sanchez, Raye, Briston Maroney, Clay and Friends
It’s a wrap on yet another great edition of OSHEAGA! Just like days prior, day 3 started hot and heavy with Montreal’s very own Clay and Friends, making the crowd dance in scorching temperatures. Briston Maroney serenaded the fans before the day got a little dicey.
UK singer Raye was set to take the stage at 4.50pm, but her start got delayed due to issues with the soundboard. After 10mins she arrived to a very excited audience, got into most of The Thrill is Gone, before having to leave the stage again due to approaching lightning. After an interruption of all shows on the grounds, she got to return, and the festival extended her set so she could perform 7 more songs. She was one of our highlights of the day, with her absolutely incredible voice, poised demeanour and all-around kind energy, so it was a shame to see her for such a short time!
Up next, Stephen Sanchez brought the rockabilly vibes to the main stage, with a set full of an energy and crooning! Over at the Green Stage, South African sensation Tyla made her Montreal debut in front of a packed audience! We then followed with Belgian rapper Hamza, who gave fairly plain performance in front of an ecstatic audience who gave it their all under pouring rain!
Finally, Jungle set the place on fire as they always do in Montreal. From the opening notes of Busy Earnin’ all the way through the anthemic Keep Moving, they had everyone around dancing (and yes, even the staff)! Meanwhile, Hozier serenaded the audience over at the main stage, with the sold-out crowd belting along to Too Sweet and Take Me To Church.
