Day 2: August 3rd, 2024
With Green Day, The Smashing Pumpkins, Reneé Rapp, Denzel Curry, Rancid, Talk, Chappell Roan, Lola Young

After closing a crazy Day 1 with Noah Kahan, we’re back at OSHEAGA for a blistering second day filled with all the genres!

We stuck around the main stage yesterday, kicking things off with UK’s Lola Young. At 3pm, pop phenomenon Chappell Roan took the stage, to a Parc Jean Drapeau we have never seen this full this early before! She absolutely set a new record there, with fans camping outside as early as 5am, crazy lines to get in as soon as door open, and thousands of fans dancing along to HOTTOGO! Then, Ottawa’s TALK serenaded the audience, with a set as fun as ever, featuring his classic Crocs throw into the crowd, and a lot of hot dogs!

From there, we took a turn from pop into punk, with Rancid delivering an action-packed set that made for an interesting crowd blend of pop girlies and moshpitters. We then switched into rap, with Denzel Curry and his incredible flow getting things rowdy too!

Up next, Reneé Rapp had everyone dancing and screaming along with a bubbly performance, and The Smashing Pumpkins took us on a throwback journey.

Finally, Green Day headlined and absolutely tore it down! Playing their iconic albums Dookie and American Idiot in full, and lacing in some other major hits in the setlist, the nostalgia factor was absolutely there. The band has been around for almost 40 years, but they still have the energy of the early days, making it a delightfully rock evening that set the OSHEAGA site on fire!
