MADDEE RITTER RELEASES DREAMY SINGLE + VIDEO FOR “CAN YOU FEEL IT?” VIA MAJESTICSILK

Maddee Ritter, a singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, hailing from the vibrant city of Toronto releases a new music video for the dreamy ballad titled “Can You Feel It?” via Majesticsilk.

“Can You Feel It?” is a heartfelt homage to classic love songs of the 70s and 80s, blending nostalgic elements like sexy sax solos, dramatic drum fills, and smooth sultry vocals. Maddee shares how the single,

“is about the feeling of first falling in love with someone and the intensity of the unapologetic feelings that come with it”.

Crafted during the pandemic in 2021 on Zoom with LA producer Andrés Rebellón, “Can You Feel It?” captures the essence of unapologetic romance – think running through airports and kissing in the rain, boombox out the window. “Can You Feel It?” at its core, is a true-and-tried, corny love song. Maddee explains,

“The inspiration for this song draws from legends like Bobby Caldwell, Smokey Robinson, and Minnie Riperton. There’s something profound about pouring your heart out in this manner that resonates deeply with me. I’ve always been a lover boy at heart, and this song reflects exactly that..”.

Maddee Ritter’s music is characterized by themes of queerness, love, empowerment, and self-worth, and seamlessly blends Soul, R&B, folk, and Indie genres. Maddee’s artistic ingenuity has fostered collaborations with fellow Toronto luminaries including Harrison, Charlotte Day Wilson, Young Clancy, Shagabond, and BirthdayBoy.

They’ve already shared the stage with notable artists such as Willow Smith, Lil’ Yachty, and Tennyson, and have graced the lineup of renowned festivals like Field Trip, NXNE, CMW, and SXSW. Maddee’s journey began with a standout feature on Harrison’s 2016 EP “Colors,” released by Last Gang Records. Their dynamic vocals enriched tracks like “You’re Light” and “How Can It Be.” Subsequently, in 2017, MADDEE unveiled their debut solo singles, produced by Toronto talents Birthday Boy and Shagabond respectively. The culmination of their creative prowess came with the release of their debut EP, “Red Mind.” This project showcases collaborations with emerging Toronto talents including Gray Rowan, Louie Short, and Danny Voicu (justandonly). The EP weaves a captivating tapestry of jazz-infused R&B and evocative downtempo electronica, capturing the attention of esteemed publications such as Lyrical Lemonade, Now Magazine, CBC, GAY TIMES, and more. Maddee’s artistic journey is marked by a distinctive sound and a commitment to authentic storytelling, making them a compelling and influential voice in today’s music landscape.
