FIRST OPENLY QUEER MUSICIAN TO RELEASE A REGGAE/DANCEHALL ALBUM PINK FRATERNITY OUT AUGUST 16th

Ahead of the release of his pioneering new album Pink Fraternity, Lexxicon today shares a Dembow Latin influenced Dancehall song proclaiming Love is Love- “Give It To Me” featuring Flavia Abadia & Papi AQ.

The multicultural multilingual celebratory track to dance and sweat your cares away features Flavia Abadia and Papi AQ. A Colombian and French Canadian, Flavia made history as the first and only Female to DJ for the Toronto Raptors. Mexican-Canadian Papi AQ is a rising star in the Toronto Latin music scene. He is part of a new generation of artists who are breaking down barriers and representing the diverse cultures that make up Canada.

Give It To Me” is taken from Lexxicon’s forthcoming album Pink Fraternity, set for release on August 16th, and follows the album’s first single “Battyman Party ” which was dedicated to queer Caribbean people around the world. With Pink Fraternity Lexxicon is making history as the first openly queer musician to release a Reggae/Dancehall album. Lexxicon’s journey is one marked by passion and perseverance and his work continues to push the boundaries of Dancehall music, paving the way for future artists in the genre.

Lexxicon is renowned for his unique infusion of Moombahton, Dembow, Reggaeton, and upbeat dancehall rhythms. Drawing parallels to influential figures like Lil Nas X & Kim Petras, he is breaking barriers and championing LGBTQ+ visibility in music.
