ALTERNATIVE-INSPIRATIONAL SINGER-SONGWRITER GRACE MARR RELEASES HER FULL-LENGTH CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN ALBUM, SAVING GRACE
Toronto-based multi-genre, Alternative-Inspirational artist Grace Marr independently releases her Contemporary Christian/Gospel album, Saving Grace today. Created in collaboration with GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Mohamed ‘Mido’ Elkhalifa (Don Toliver, Ging, f/k/a/, Frank Dukes, Diana Gordon, CVRE) and critically acclaimed guitarist and multi-instrumentalist TJ Whitelaw, Saving Grace is a collection of songs with the theme of love running throughout that explores Marr’s faith, and her relationships with God, herself, her friends, and family. The album also features some of Marr’s inner creative circle including KaiTheViolinist, Heather Beamish, Ryan Ofei, Ewen Farncombe, Ian Koiter, and Zach Stuckey.
“’Saving Grace’ started as a silly pun with my name, I was fresh to faith and barely remember writing the title track, but I thought it would be fun to write a Christian song with my name in it. Over time songs like ‘Belong’ and ‘Self Care’ poured out of me, and I eventually had an album in my hands. When I was writing these songs, I realized that each one played a part in saving me, saving Grace Marr,” shares Marr. “They tell their own story, and they tell mine – and maybe even yours. I’m so grateful to finally be sharing this chapter of my life with the world, and how I’ve grown into the Alternative Inspiration artist that I am today.”
Taking the tracks from her debut EP, Supernatural, and combining them with Gospel-infused songs of Saving Grace, Marr leans into her spirituality and proves her ability to blend Christian Contemporary music with Pop, Folk, and R&B, showcasing her effortless powerhouse vocals and luscious harmonies. Continuing her mission to expand the traditional views of holiness, Marr embraces her humanity and divinity without compromise, offering listeners the freedom to do so as well.
