The Great Canadian Casino Theater was set ablaze this past weekend as South Korean girl group ITZY took the stage for two back-to-back shows for their “Born to Be” World Tour. The quintet, known for their infectious energy and chart-topping hits, delivered a performance that left fans exhilarated and yearning for more. Although one of the members, Lia, could not be there, her presence was felt in Toronto as she studied here!
Day 1: A Grand Opening
From the moment the lights dimmed and the opening notes of “Born to Be” reverberated through the theater, it was clear that ITZY was ready to make a statement. The group showcased their signature blend of fierce choreography and powerful vocals. The energy in the room was palpable as Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna danced in perfect sync, and showed us that they were indeed, born to be stars.
The first night’s setlist was a well-curated mix of their biggest hits and fan favorites. Songs like “ICY,” “WANNABE,” and “Not Shy” had the audience singing along, while slower tracks like “Be In Love” provided a moment of introspection and connection. Each member had a chance to shine, with solo stages that highlighted their individual talents—Yeji’s commanding dance break, Ryujin’s performing her own song “Run Away”, Chaeryeong’s elegant dance solo, and Yuna’s playful interaction with the crowd.
The production value was top-notch, with stunning visuals that complemented the group’s dynamic performance. The chemistry between the members was undeniable, and their infectious energy spread throughout the venue, creating a sense of unity and shared joy.
