Joel Plaskett Announces New Record, Shares Lead Single “Rainy Day Janey”
Joel Plaskett’s upcoming album, One Real Reveal is his innermost work to date. Recorded solo on a 4-track cassette machine, with all the human touches the tape could pick up – the album delivers Joel’s songs in their most unguarded form.

Today, Joel shares the languorous, waltzing lead single, “Rainy Day Janey.”
One Real Reveal also features “The New Joys,” released this past April to coincide with National Poetry Month. It was featured on CBC Q, and Billboard Canada’s Fresh Sounds shared,
“Ever eager to embrace a new challenge, he has just released his debut spoken word piece, and it’s a new treat. He narrates his philosophical reflections clearly and in a relaxed fashion. The overall vibe is a mite akin to the jazzy spoken word recordings of Jack Kerouac. Would be nice to hear more in this style.”
