Boston Levi Shares New Single “Pretty Little Heartbreak”

Ontario’s Boston Levi Unleashes New Single, “Pretty Little Heartbreak”

Boston Levi, the dynamic four-piece band blending arena-ready rock with alt-country and pop influences, is thrilled to announce the release of their latest single, “Pretty Little Heartbreak,” out now, via Known Accomplice and 745 Music. This new track harnesses a bold and electrifying sound that captures the essence of raw emotion and relatable storytelling.

“Pretty Little Heartbreak” is a testament to Boston Levi’s evolution as a modern rock artist. Crafted in just 30 minutes, the song packs a punch with its infectious energy and down-to-earth lyricism, offering a fresh perspective on the universal theme of heartbreak. It’s a “four on the floor banger” that immediately grabs attention and showcases the band’s knack for crafting compelling rock anthems.

“Everybody feels something different from every song, so if people can take something from our music and use it in their own way, I think that’s a victory,” reflects the band on their musical career to date.

Boston Levi’s journey is a tribute to perseverance and the pursuit of passion. Comprised of musicians Mike McNamee, Ryan Williams, Mike Montgomery, and Claud Northey, the band defies the notion that it’s ever too late to chase dreams.

“What brought us all together was just the idea of playing music for fun,” explains drummer Ryan Williams. “And then this happened, and now there’s a whole new idea of what the future may hold.”

In conjunction with the single release, Boston Levi will embark on a series of live dates supporting Bleeker, coinciding with the launch of a new EP this fall. The band is no stranger to the road, having shared stages with acclaimed acts such as Blackberry Smoke, The Glorious Sons, The Trews, The Strumbellas, and Texas King. Notable highlights include headlining the Ottawa Bluesfest SiriusXM Stage and opening for The Glorious Sons on New Year’s Eve 2024 at the Slush Puppie Place in Kingston.

Born and raised in Perth, ON, Boston Levi – a stage name for former professional hockey player turned musician Mike McNamee – burst onto the Canadian music scene following his signing with 745 Music; a multi-service music company cofounded by Jay Emmons, guitarist for the two-time JUNO Award-winning rock band The Glorious Sons. Levi first released “Feel It All,” holding nothing back in his quest to create compelling Americana/Rock music, and quickly followed with the acclaimed single “Run Baby Run” and the track “Thief,” all available on his 2021 debut EP Prophecies. Levi’s retirement from professional hockey, catalyzed by a couple of years wrought with challenges stemming from the pandemic, allowed time for him to turn his sights to his burgeoning music career, adopting a dynamic sophisticated sound while carving his own unique path as an artist. Entering a new chapter of his career in 2022, Levi showcased immense growth both musically and as an artist with the release of the rock-leaning singles ‘Lonely For Tonight’ and ‘Crossfire’, offering a more vulnerable side with his release of the piano ballad ‘Living Proof’. Now backed by a full band, Levi continues to push the boundaries of his artistry, holding nothing back in 2024.
