River Town Saints Share New Single, “Lying In Bed” ft. Kaylee Bell
River Town Saints – the award-winning Canadian country band – and Kaylee Bell – Australia’s most streamed female country artist – have released “Lying in Bed,” available now via Sakamoto Music. “Lying in Bed” is a track that details how we can feel like an ocean apart despite being in the same bed as someone when the connection appears lost. A music video is in the works, to premiere in the coming weeks, and the song will be worked in both the Canadian and Australian markets.
When the boys from River Town Saints were throwing around possible collaboration partners, they kept going back to an artist they had all become fans of who they thought would be perfect. The New Zealand-born and Nashville-based Kaylee Bell has quickly made a name for herself on the country scene, winning this year’s CMA for Global Country Artist, as well as Female Artist of the Year at Australia’s Golden Guitar Awards. She burst onto the scene when she performed an original song called “Keith,” a tribute to Keith Urban, on The Voice Australia, which went on to surpass 60 million plays on TikTok, reaching Number 1 on Australian radio for five weeks, and hit Number 12 on the U.S. Billboard country digital sales chart.
“We approached Kaylee about ‘Lying In Bed’ as we knew that it was an amazing song, but as a duet it would be a spectacular song,” says River Town Saints. “After our first call with Kaylee, we knew that she was the ‘one’ for this song. Her voice, her energy and her passion blew us all away. Kaylee has made a name for herself around the world, and we’re honoured to be able to help further introduce her to Canadian country fans!”
Following last month’s “Spring Fling” headlining tour, River Town Saints will take the stage at the CMAOntario Awards on June 2 in Mississauga, where they are also up for Group or Duo of the Year.
