On Wednesday night, British-born rapper 21 Savage kicked off his American Dream Tour at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC.

21 Lil Harold (Savage’s little brother) and J.I.D. opened the night and got the young crowd ready for the main act. Nardo Wick couldn’t attend as he got stopped at the Canadian border.

Around 9:30pm, it was time for 21 Savage (given name Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph) to take to the stage under the screams of the crowd. He started his set with “No Heart”, “Jimmy Cooks” and “On BS”.

The stage setup was small and simple, but effective: a giant screen and stairs. The screen showed videos of his childhood and his move to the US for each song. He brought J.I.D. to the stage for their collaboration track “Surround Sound”. He closed out the night with “Knife Talk” and “redrum”.  21 Savage is no stranger to big tours as he supported Drake’s It’s All A Blur Tour for most of 2023, and it showed as he lit up a sold out Rogers Arena.

21 Savage will be on tour across Canada and the US until June 15. More info on his website.
