Who’s ready for some brand new music? I am ready, here, and feeling a lot better than last week. I had to take the week off because I was feeling sick and had to go in and out of the hospital. So luckily we’ve got the best new music to keep me feeling good and you too! These are Zach’s Picks Of The Week coming from the website full of amazing music, Canadian Beats. I have had chosen my top six articles that were posted this last week for you to enjoy. Plus you can share them with your friends, with just the click the button. the links to each of these articles can be found below in this post but you can also hear these recommendations. Coming up in the video below will be a clip from each of them and you’ll see my smiling face.
Five
Beginning our list will be a noisy, experimental, bass-driven hardcore punk band from Peterborough, called Cross Dog. They are here with their latest single, “Hard Feelings” which is available now and is coming off of their newest album, All Hard Feelings (out June 7th). But this first single to be shared off the LP’s is a pseudo-diss track that stemmed from Tracy feeling blindsided and betrayed. You can check out the music video for “Hard Feelings” here.
Four
Next up on our list will be a returning artist from Winnipeg, Roots Americana band Leaf Rapids. Finally releasing their long way to new album, Velvet Paintings via Mile 33 Records. The whole thing is available now across all your favourite streaming platforms plus you can check out the title track and the brand new video, that’s posted in this article here.
Three
Now that we have reached this week’s third top spot of the best music, it’s time to introduce you to Calgary’s country duo Nice Horse. They’re proudly stepping into their newest chapter with the release of their self-titled album, NICE HORSE. The pair, made up of founding members Katie Rox and Brandi Sidoryk are celebrating a defining year with this new release. Be sure to check out the article right here.
Two
Coming up next is another returning artist to Zach’s Picks Of The Week and I’m glad to have back MELØ from Vancouver. Back in March, he unveiled the 14-track album, Songs From The Spirit Box which you can now find across all your favourite streaming platforms. But recently we gave our full album review for the project and shared our personal opinion. I enjoy the track “Black October”, but you can check out the article for yourself and listen to the album right through here.
BONUS: Canadian Beats Passport
Time to introduce our international artist that is featured on Canadian Beats Passport as our bonus, this time from the music city of Nashville, Tennessee. We have the Goldy LockS Band bringing their house-shaking, new tune “Just Say Yes” to your eardrums. It’s available now on your favourite streaming platforms, It’s also accompanied by a brand new music video. A simply undeniable instant anthem that could convert just about anyone of singer, Goldy Locks philosophy that the glass is always half full (especially when it isn’t yours). Check out my international bonus pick of the week right here.
One
This will be our final recommendation for the best new music that comes from our website. So please give a warm welcome to Vancouver singer-songwriter, Danielle Schroeder. Her music comes from deep within her heart and grew out of her work as a counsellor supporting people living with cancer and those at the end of life. “Undertow” is the second single to be released from Danielle’s newest album, Between Two Worlds coming out June 21st. Have a listen to her new single within our PREMIERE article post just right here.
