Toronto’s Rising Star, Rich Freed Unveils Soul-Stirring Single, “Peace of Mind”
Rich Freed, a Scottish singer-songwriter and guitarist originally from Glasgow, has traversed from the vibrant streets of his hometown to the diverse music scene of Toronto. With a fusion of indie-pop and blues-rock, Rich began crafting his musical identity in 2006, delving into writing and performing his own compositions.
As the frontman of Glasgow-based indie/blues rock band, The Dead Settlers, Rich refined his skills as a lead singer, guitarist, and prolific songwriter. In 2018, he made the bold leap across the Atlantic to Toronto, aiming to expand his musical horizons and carve out a solo career.
Inspired by musical icons like The Beatles, Oasis, Radiohead, and Arctic Monkeys, Rich embarked on his solo journey with the release of his debut single, “The Decline,” in 2022. Becoming a prominent figure in Toronto’s music scene, he captivates audiences with inventive melodies, catchy hooks, and introspective lyrics.
With his new single, “Peace of Mind,” Rich is solidifying his position as one of Toronto’s most promising emerging artists.
