THIRD STUDIO ALBUM BOUNDLESS POSSIBILITIES DUE OUT JUNE 21ST
“This is the final song I would write about one of the worst times my heart was smashed to pieces by a “man”, the final nail in the coffin, and here I am – stitched back together and ready for more love.” – Celeigh Cardinal
Celebrated artist Celeigh Cardinal shares her latest single – “Over and Over” – from her exciting new album, Boundless Possibilities, due out June 21, 2024. Co-written with award-winning songwriters Joey and Dave Landreth, this second co-write featured on the album, including the lead single “Light of the Moon,” sees Celeigh delving into relationship patterns and her personal breakthrough.
“The hook for this song was something that I had been sitting on for a while but couldn’t figure out what to do with it,” shares Celeigh. “I felt overwhelmed by the recognition of the relationship patterns I had been cycling through, especially as I was still nursing a broken heart coming off of the awful breakup that was the catalyst to this breakthrough.”
Celeigh took the hook to Dave and Joey, told them the story of the breakup, and together they put together the rest of the song. Celeigh says, “It meant so much to present the story I was emotionally involved with to the brothers, who could lend an objective ear and then help me translate something I was way too close to.”
It was really important for Celeigh (and co-producer James Bunton) to capture the live energy of the song. From Brayden Treble’s guitar solo to Brennan Cameron’s organ solo, and her Janis Joplin-inspired wailing.
“When I hear the recording, I feel like we were successful,” Celeigh adds.
