MULTI-PLATINUM, AWARD-WINNING ARTIST BOBBY BAZINI RELEASES BRAND NEW SINGLE, “HOMETOWN (TAKE ME TO)”
Multi-platinum artist Bobby Bazini shares his new single, “Hometown (Take Me To)” available via Spectra Musique. The single is from his forthcoming EP, Stone of June out June 7th and produced by Connor Seidel (Charlotte Cardin, Half Moon Run, Soran). Stone of June was written and recorded alongside Bazini’s previously released album Pearl, and during the recording process, Bazini and Seidel called on some of the most notable musicians in Canada to perform on it including Conner Molander (Half Moon Run), Robbie Kuster (Patrick Watson), Eveline Rousseau (The Barr Brothers), and Antoine Gratton.
“’Hometown (Take me to)’ is that classic tune of thinking of finally settling down, moving back to your hometown, and starting a family,” shares Bazini. “You can feel the influence of Sam Cooke. Connor (Seidel) and I are huge fans of his music. I think he has the most beautiful voice in the world. What I love about Sam Cooke is how honest and real his music is. His voice and his songs are timeless. I was trying to channel a little bit of him with this song and I think it has a special place on this EP. It’s a lot brighter than anything else on this project but it’s full of truths.”
With an elegant arrangement, as uplifting and gentle as the arrival of spring, “Hometown (Take Me To)” follows the release of the first single ‘”Maia” which has already garnered radio support across Canada, the US, and the UK, as well as his collaboration remix of his track “Waterfallin’” with legendary DJ Gilles Peterson.
Bazini is performing in LaSalle, Quebec today with additional confirmed tour dates below. He is set to announce an international tour later this year in support of the Stone Of June EP.
