The Salvation Army Hosts Historic Choral Event Featuring 200 of Its Most-Talented Singers From Across Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States

The Salvation Army’s Canadian Staff Songsters, renowned for their captivating choral performances, are set to host a magnificent night of song and music on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 7 p.m., at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church, Toronto.

A Choral Convocation will celebrate The Salvation Army’s rich tradition of Christian ministry through choral music, with special guests that include the United Kingdom’s International Staff Songsters and all four Staff Songster brigades from across the United States.

“The Canadian Staff Songsters are honoured to have our special guests, whose dedication to excellence and passion for choral music are truly inspiring. With repertories ranging from traditional to contemporary compositions, the convocation promises to be an unforgettable musical experience for all who attend,” says Cathie Koehnen, leader of the Canadian Staff Songsters.

The event is also supported by The Salvation Army’s Canadian Staff Band who, for the last five decades, have dedicated themselves to effective ministry while staying relevant in an ever-changing musical world.

“We invite you to be part of history as we come together for an extraordinary evening to celebrate the power of God’s presence and love through music,” says Lieut.-Colonel John Murray, executive officer of the Canadian Staff Songsters.
