Hope you’re all having a fantastic week so far, even though it’s just starting for some of us. But that doesn’t mean we’ve got some brand new music that we can rock out to and fight the sanity. Thank you for joining us once again for the top recommendations of the week picked by yours truly. Otherwise known as, Zach’s Picks Of The Week on Canadian Beats Media.

So, what do you say we get started on the new music, because I’m itching for some tunes and not for any other reason. Coming up right now these are Zach’s Picks Of The Week!
Five
Let’s begin our list with a familiar Canadian band, who sadly announced that this year would be their last performing together. Toronto powerhouse Tokyo Police Club did announce that 2024 would be their last year as a band, with a grand finale performance in their hometown. But more was hinted to be in the works, that news came in the form of two final singles, “Just A Scratch” and “Catch Me If You Can.” You can find and listen to both of these special tracks in our article for Tokyo Police Club here.
Four
Next in our exciting list, we have the introduction of Population II and the latest taste of their forthcoming EP. Serpent Échelle, which is due for release on April 19th via Bonsound, The brand new single “R.B.” is available on all streaming platforms now. The Montreal-based band shifted gears from their orchestral and lysergic riffs without warning on the new single. You can have a look at the official music video which is in our article hosted this week, just right to the link here.

This time at number three we have the latest coverage of Edmonton-based indie-pop artist Josh Sahunta‘s latest album, To Be Loved, Vol. 1. This record has recently earned him his very first JUNO Award nomination for this year’s Adult Contemporary Album of the Year. It comprises of seven love songs written for his wife, exploring the depths of marital emotions and conveying appreciation. BONUS: Canadian Beats Passport
You know it’s time to introduce this week’s international artist which is coming to us from across the pond. Creature Creature is a dynamic alt-rock/punk band from Brighton, United Kingdom. They blend their gritty, authentic sounds with some retro cinematic flair. Recently they unveiled their latest, single, “The Noise” featuring the very talented Billy Lunn. This new single follows the success of their previous single from 2021, “No Time To Die”. You should check out the interview that we have with Creature Creature plus listen to the new single, here.
One
This is going to be Zach’s Picks Of The Week’s number one recommendation that is coming from Canadian Beats Media. So this time I will be introducing the debut single from a band called Lucky Honey. Their debut single, “One You Call” seamlessly melds the infectious sounds of 80s synth-pop with the edgy vibes of 2000s alt-rock. The result is this new love song, which is available across all your favourite streaming platforms right now. However, you can also check out the official video within the pages of our article, here.
You just witnessed my top recommendations from this website, which is always chock full of new exciting musical content. Zach’s Picks Of The Week will of course return next week with a brand new list of the best on the Internet. But for now, I hope that these will tie over your hunger until the next time we get together. Please be sure to explore all of these articles we have on our website this week and have fun.
