Tim Albertson – Five Questions With

Born and raised in the small town of Hurkett, Ontario, Tim Albertson is a Small Town Boy, with Stadium Like Sound.

Tim Albertson’s has unveiled his latest single “For The Last Time.”. This upbeat, catchy love tune was completely funded by his social media community and was Recorded and Produced by Tim’s long-time producer, Shawn Moore in Waterloo, ON.

This single was written for Tim’s longtime girlfriend, Jen.

“When I first saw her, I was blown away that someone that beautiful ONE, could be single, and TWO, could be interested in me” Tim continues “She’d had relationships in the past that promised her the world, so as we started dating I told her I told her I was into this for the long haul, and when she asked me to write her a song, That’s what I wanted the message to be. That I am always going to be here.”

First off care to introduce yourself to our readers?

My name is Tim, I live in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and have been singing since I was 7 years old. I’ve been lucky in my time to open for Lee Brice, Walker Hayes, Robyn Ottolini, Jess Moskaluke, Tim Hicks, and a list of others that have come through the area. Outside of music, I’m a proud Dad to two amazing kids and the worst half of an incredible woman.

Tell us a bit about your recent release.

First off, show of hands how many people have had their ex’s promise the world and give you nothing but dirt. The first time I saw my wife, I wanted to show that I was different. This single is my vow, that no matter what happens, good or bad, we do it together, “Let’s Show This World What Our Two Hearts Are Made For!”

How do you typically go about the songwriting process? Do you have a specific method or
creative routine that you follow?

Each song is different for me, for instance, this single came out in about 5 minutes. I had the music, I knew the words I wanted to say and it kinda all fell into place for me. Thanks to my Mrs. for being such an awesome inspiration haha. However, I have a notebook full of one verse, or one line “songs” that are still being worked on slowly.

Looking ahead, what are your plans for supporting this new release? Are there any upcoming
tours, music videos, or additional content that fans can look forward to in connection with this project?

I have a Single Release Party happening on February 23rd at The Foundry in Thunder Bay, as well as multiple festival and show dates for the summer and fall coming shortly. A lyric video will follow soon as well as an interactive project with the help of my social media family.

Looking back on your musical career, is there a particular moment or accomplishment that
you consider a turning point or a highlight?

I think the biggest highlight was opening for Lee Brice at Country on The Bay. Being on the main stage, bright lights, and packed festival grounds, it’s THE dream moment. To be able to be the few who can say they opened for LEE BRICE! still doesn’t feel real.

Last but not least, it’s time to pay it forward, what upcoming band or artist would you
recommend your fans check out?

There are so many amazing upcoming artists to check out! One that’s been on my playlist since I first met her is Mackenzie Leigh Meyer. I don’t think I’ll be able to say “upcoming” for her for very much longer, But definitely, one to watch!
