îLESONIQ unveils 2024 lineup!

îLESONIQ 2024 announces massive superstars for its 9th edition

îLESONIQ presented by Bell, Canada’s one-of-a-kind dance party, returns in 2024 for a ninth edition on the weekend of August 10 and 11. Featuring all the bells and whistles fans have come to expect from a cutting edge music festival, îLESONIQ has one of the most impressive and massive stages on the worldwide festival circuit, stunning visuals, explosive pyrotechnics, spectacular light shows, and a sound system that will shake the entire island. With a fully-stackedlineup that will leave fans in a state of pure bliss, this year’s festival is looking to be an unforgettable party at Montreal’s Parc Jean-Drapeau, overlooking the city’s iconic skyline. As always, remember you can get the party started early with îLESONIQ in the City, a bumpin’ pre-party downtown on Friday, August 9 (more details to come!).

îLESONIQ 2024 headliners include THE legendary Dutchman often regarded as the biggest DJ in the world, Tiësto.  A Montreal favourite, his relationship with this city goes back to the very early days of the electronic dance music phenomenon. Back in 2014 when the festival was launching its inaugural edition, Tiësto was the very first artist booked by the îLESONIQ team! 10 years later, the Godfather of EDM (who will also be the first-ever superstar in-game DJ for the Super Bowl this Sunday) is back to move the crowd with his signature sound and a huge catalog of hits and remixes that will leave the crowd breathless.

DJ Snake, iconic DJ/producer with a French touch, has crossed over into the mainstream with huge hits like “Loco Contigo” (featuring J Balvin and Tyga), “Taki Taki” (featuring Selena Gomez, Cardi B and Ozuna), “Let Me Love You” (featuring Justin Bieber), and his first smash hit, “Turn Down for What” (featuring  Lil Jon). The multiple GRAMMY award winner is definitely having a moment, recently selling out the 80,000 seat Stade de France in Paris in mere minutes! There are rumours that this will be his farewell show, but fans will have a chance to see him take it to the next level with his îLESONIQ headlining set this summer. Gims brings a French-Congolese touch to the festival this year, with a unique alchemy of rap and feelgood afrobeat. He’s gained a huge fan base here in Montreal, where he played to a sold-out crowd at the Bell Centre alongside his brother Dadju just a few months back (we were there to check it out!).

Also from France is the enigmatic Vladimir Cauchemar, a creative genius in a skeleton mask whose pulsing sound features a heavy dose of French rap mixed with very outernational instrumentation and genre-hopping melodies. His first-ever îLESONIQ performance coming up this summer on the enormous NEON stage will be a feast for the ears and eyes, as he prepares to unleash his Anthropology 2 show, a jaw-dropping visual experience presented for the very first time in North America. Timmy Trumpet will be bringing his special brand of fire to the OASIS stage. With his mighty trumpet in hand, the Australian-born EDM powerhouse will make his îLESONIQ debut as well, proving why is widely considered one of the top tier acts of the genre.

Montreal will be bumping in full effect, namely to the sounds of some of the finest craftsmen and performers, including superstar actor and DJ, Idris Elba (formely known asDJ Big Driis), who will be playing his first-ever set in Quebec at the festival, just like rising techno star Lilly Palmer. For fans of melodic techno, German DJ (and actor) Paul Kalkbrenner is preparing to turn îLESONIQ into his own musical canvas, performing a live set (as always) of blissful tracks that he careful deconstructs and retools each and every time he hits the stage. Also from Germany, Ben Böhmer returns to the festival for a second time, this time on the MIRAGE stage. Fans who caught his 2022 set of beatific progressive house know this is a can’t-miss event.

Turbulences will be a first for îLESONIQ, with two innovative French artists, Space92 and POPOF joining forces for a high-energy techno performance sure to please the dancing masses! Italian female duo, Giolì & Assia, will surely be making waves when they hit the stage with their dark-tinged hybrid live show. The couple are multi-instrumentalists and highly-regarded producers who have forged an electronic indie pop style all their own.

For fans of bass, îLESONIQ 2024 has a wide array of incredible talent on offer. Montreal favourite, Wooli, known to many in this city as the “prime minister of bass”, will return the undying love from the crowd, bringing his mammoth sound to the MIRAGE stage where his giant tusks will be a sight to see! Another legendary show in the making on that stage will be MASTERHAND – a conceptual melding of talented bass heavyweights, Svdden DeathEptic, and Space Laces – each of whom are the reigning kings of their respective subgenres. Also combining forces on the MIRAGE stage will be Jauz B2B NGHTMRE, and  fans should take note this may be one of the only times these artists will play together. To say it will be heavily-anticipated is truly an understatement! American DJ/producer, Subtronics, who’s had an amazing year selling out arenas and stadiums (including Laval’s Place Bell last month) will also be on hand, but his popularity is growing so much exponentially, that he will be the only bass performer to take the main stage at this year’s edition of the fest.

îLESONIQ will be taking place at Montreal’s Parc Jean Drapeau on August 10th and 11th! 2-day tickets start at $190CAD and go on sale tomorrow (Thursday, Feb 8th) at noon EST! For tickets and information, click here!
