The Reklaws take it back to their country roots with the release of their new single “I Grew Up On A Farm” and sing the national at the NHL All-Star Game
On February 2, the chart-topping, multi-PLATINUM duo The Reklaws kicked off a busy weekend with the release of their highly-anticipated new single, “I Grew Up On A Farm.” This tune is a heartfelt ode to their rural upbringing and a nod to their deep-seated connection with country life. This release also carried the duo into their NHL All-Star Weekend debut as they took to the stage on Saturday night to perform the national anthem at the game in Toronto.
The songwriting process for “I Grew Up On A Farm” was a reunion for the duo as they teamed up with their close-knit group of friends who have been a constant in their lives over the years. Jenna and Stuart Walker, Khalid Yassein (Wild Rivers), Scott Helman, Emily Reid, and Callum Maudsley created a powerful anthem that encapsulates the authenticity of their rural roots and celebrates the values and experiences that shaped them into the artists they are today.
Stuart Walker shares,
“This single is for anyone who, like us, grew up in a small town with a love of country music. We are farm kids at heart, spending our early years on the Yee Haw Adventure Farm with our siblings and parents. So, it’s a tribute to the simple joys and lessons learned there, as well as the pride we have of that upbringing.”
