It had been a while since we saw French rappers Bigflo & Oli in Montreal. Since 2019 to be exact, when we saw them at a packed MTelus and the Bell Center not long after!
4 years later, their fanbase in town has not diminished one bit, as the Bell Center was packed to the rim waiting for the show to start! It’s been a great few months for lovers of French rap, as other icons like Gims, Dadju and Lomepal all played arenas recently! Bigflo & Oli brought a smaller stage setup than their usual French tour production, so no catwalk and big box of screens, but fans were still delighted with light-up bracelets and pyro!
The two brothers from Toulouse opened the show with the hard hitting, 7-minutes long La Vie D’Après. From there, Florian and Olivio had the audience in the palm of their hands, as fans screamed every single lyrics back to then. The setlist included massive hits Sur La Lune, Dommage and Coup de Vieux and closed on the spectacular Bons Eleves. Bigflo & Oli’s show was one to remember, and will leave their fans hoping it’s not another 4 years before they come play here again! But from the two rappers’ reactions, the crowd was one of their favourites this tour, so we can hope the wait is shorter next time around!
