Charlotte Cardin, New West
Commodore Ballroom, Vancouver, BC
November 16, 2023
On Thursday night, Montreal-born pop singer & songwriter Charlotte Cardin brought her 99 Nights tour to the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC for 2 sold-out nights.
Toronto-based collective New West opened the night and shared with us their most famous tracks like “Those Eyes” and “Next To You”. Kudos to them for a great performance despite half of their gear being stuck at the US-CAN border.
Shortly after, Charlotte Cardin appeared on stage dressed in a black faux-leather outfit starting strong with “Looping” right into the incredible “Meaningless” and “Puppy”, the latter being the opening song of her new album that the crowd knew by heart. Cardin took turns playing the guitar, the electric keyboard or the grand piano. She showcased her amazing voice during “Next To You” and “Anyone Who Loves Me” mesmerizing the audience. The Commodore Ballroom was the perfect venue for Cardin to keep it up-close and personal with her fans, and turn the whole venue into a giant dancefloor.
With her command of the stage and her effortlessly silky voice, she solidified her status as a rising star with this new “99 Nights” album and tour. Cardin will end her North American Tour in Winnipeg on November 25th before jumping over the pond to France.
