Multi-platinum, 4x JUNO Award-nominated artist and producer elijah woods releases his new track, “last girl (ft. MacKenzie Porter),” today.
Originally on woods’ bright orange everglow EP, he tapped in CCMA Award-winning singer-songwriter MacKenzie Porter for the duet, blending her distinct country-pop shimmery voice with his dreamy, synth-pop vocals to create a beautiful cross-genre love song.
“As soon as I heard MacKenzie’s vocals I knew she would be perfect for ‘last girl.’ It was written with a blend of easy listening pop and country undertones,” says woods on the collaboration. “The song lends itself perfectly to a duet, and I couldn’t be happier on how it turned out.”
