Madeline Merlo captivates audiences with a sensational joint release of her single “Take a Broken Heart” and Keith Urban’s iconic #1 song, “You’ll Think of Me”
On October 20, award-winning, breakout country artist and songwriter Madeline Merlo released an original track “Take a Broken Heart” along with her stunning rendition of Keith Urban’s “You’ll Think of Me” via BBR Music Group/Wheelhouse Records. Produced by Zach Crowell, “Take A Broken Heart” speaks to all the places you can go with your broken heart as you drive forward leaving your ex in the past.
Merlo says,
““Take A Broken Heart” is a song that I wrote on a beach writing trip and have been dying to put it out since. The song is reminiscent of a conversation I’ve had with my friends many times and a song I have needed to hear myself at times. If someone breaks your heart, don’t give it back to them.”
“You’ll Think Of Me” is also produced by Zach Crowell. Merlo delivers a vulnerable and female perspective on Keith Urban’s “You’ll Think Of Me”, a track that tells of being kept awake at night by memories of an ex and finding comfort in the fact that someday the ex will be the one thinking of her on lonely nights.
When asked about the opportunity to record one of her favourite country songs of all time, Merlo explained,
“It’s a dream come true. I sincerely hope fans will enjoy my version of the timeless song, “You’ll Think Of Me.””

In addition to Merlo’s release, earlier this month she received two nominations for the upcoming BCCMA Awards. Hailing from Maple Ridge, BC, with much of her family still calling it home, Merlo is honoured to see nominations for Top Performing Single and Entertainer of the Year for the 2023 Awards, taking place on November 5 in her home province.
