Picture this, it’s Saturday night on September 23rd in Vancouver BC, and the infamous Commodore Ballroom is transformed into a hard rock haven as Wolfmother is set to take the stage.
The crowd’s energy was instantly cranked to 100% for the rest of the night as California rockers, Fever Dog, took the stage as the opening act. With stellar matching outfits and equally stellar tunes, Fever Dog had the crowd on their toes for what was going to be a colossal night ahead.
As the Australian trio, Wolfmother, made their way onto the stage, they immediately kicked off their performance with the lead track off of their first album, “Dimension”. The energy was cosmic, as lead singer and guitarist Andrew Stockdale’s powerful voice filled the room.
As the night went on, the mosh pits grew larger and concertgoers were riding the crowd surfing waves, all fueled by Wolfmother’s electrifying performance and their well-known hits such as Joker and the Thief, New Moon Rising, Gypsy Caravan, and Victorious. But it wasn’t just their own songs that had the crowd going wild. Wolfmother also covered classic hits like Love Me Two Times by The Doors and finished off with Rock and Roll by Led Zeppelin for the encore.
Overall, Wolfmother delivered an interdimensional performance that left the crowd, and myself, feeling exhilarated and wanting more!
