Pkew Pkew Pkew, the notorious party-loving delinquents of pop-punk, have unleashed their latest masterpiece, Siiick Days, via Stomp Records. This ten-track album is a wild rollercoaster through the highs and lows of modern life, recorded over an exhilarating 10 days in Asbury Park by Pete Steinkopf of The Bouncing Souls.

The album opens with one of the previously released singles, “The Dumbest Thing I Ever Done,” which has garnered over 15K streams on Spotify. The band cleverly captures the essence of wanting to escape into familiar comforts, even if it means embracing the “dumbest thing” they’ve ever done. It’s a catchy, humorous, and relatable take on the quirks of contemporary existence.

Unveiled today as the album’s focus track, “Farside Bathroom” is a humorous and relatable release that encapsulates the essence of seeking a brief escape during a lively night out. Amidst the bustling bar scene, the lyrics comically portray the quirks of this bathroom hideaway, complete with walls adorned with vintage comic books and repetitive texts to a Broncos fan friend. It’s a playful and entertaining anthem for anyone who knows the value of a quick breather during an exciting evening.

Lead Singer and vocalist, Mike Warne shares,

Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name. And they’re always glad you came. And they have a nice, large, and private bathroom that you can lock yourself away in when you’re feeling socially overwhelmed, which believe it or not, happens to me a lot. This isn’t the only song I’ve written in that bathroom.

As we near the end of the release, “Goodnights” is a high-octane pop-punk anthem that vividly portrays a chaotic night filled with ill-advised choices and inevitable confrontations. The song’s gritty realism is exemplified by references to “Copenhagen and Coors Lite,” setting the scene of a rowdy bar atmosphere. The recurring chorus underscores the central theme of making reckless decisions despite full awareness of the impending consequences and paints a vivid picture of a night out gone wrong.

Closing out the album is the previously released single, “The Night John Buck Hit Three Home Runs,”‘” an emotive pop-punk ode. The rallying cry of “Go Blue Jays” pays tribute to a memorable baseball game and the enduring bonds between friends.

Overall, Siiick Days promises a diverse and engaging experience for listeners. It balances humor, nostalgia, and introspection, making it a well-rounded and memorable collection of songs, creating an unforgettable listening experience.
