Touching down in Toronto for the only stop in Canada on the Freaks On Parade Tour, Alice Cooper and his “little brother,” as he called him when he introduced him to the stage, Rob Zombie, brought unsurprisingly electrifying performances to Bud Stage.

Shock rock fans everywhere were thrilled with the announcement of this co-headlining tour – the godfather himself and Zombie each playing full-length sets. Not to mention that with the legendary Ministry and Filter opening up the show, it starts to feel like a mini-festival from hard rock heaven.

Greasing up the arena in the earlier slot, Alice Cooper and his entourage were a sight to behold, staying true to their reputation and unequivocally stealing the show right out of the gate. Every single person in the crowd was engaged from the opening moment of “Lock Me Up” to the closing note of “School’s Out” and the entire spooky stage crew is as much to thank for that as the incredible musicians. Loaded up with beheadings, the infamous boa constrictor, mock elections, and so much more, the absolutely mind-shattering solos were the icing on an already terribly sweet, very bloody cake.

With a history in film as successful as his music career, it’s only natural that Rob Zombie’s stage game is strong and backed by a lot of visuals. With screens covering almost the entire stage, including the platforms that the band was on and the floating drumset that raised up mid-show, the audience was bestowed with views of the Devil’s Rejects and Zombie’s other beautiful monsters while the band blasted through their many hits.
