Collette Andrea is an independent artist and producer from Toronto, ON. Over the last decade, Collette has written, performed, and dabbled in ambient, singer-songwriter, rock, and acoustic musical genres.
Gollden is a solo ambient project launched in 2018. Today marks the release of the three-song EP, Hues of Pink. Coming in at just over 12 minutes, the release features “you will figure it out,” “still healing,” and “a loop for lost love.”
Amidst the whirlwind of our hectic, pandemic-stricken lives, “you will figure it out” wraps you in a tranquil embrace, signaling its purpose as a musical odyssey designed for profound relaxation and meditation. The music slowly helps you relax, letting go of daily worries, and guiding you to a peaceful state.
“still healing” features a soft, melodic piano that conveys deep emotions and vulnerability. Its music flows like a river, taking you on a path of self-discovery and recovery. The title, “Still Healing,” perfectly captures the idea that healing is a continuous journey, reminding us it’s okay not to have all the answers or be fully mended.
The EP closes with “a loop for lost love,” which artfully combines peace, thoughtfulness, and the beauty of nature. This track stands out in the ability to transport the listener to a serene and introspective realm, where the soothing sounds of a waterfall harmonize with the emotional depth of the music. Incorporating the sounds of water and the beauty of nature is a clever decision; it’s comforting and fits the theme of lost love perfectly.
Overall, Hues of Pink is a carefully put together EP, blending three outstanding instrumental pieces into a unified and emotionally deep musical experience, ideal for meditation, contemplation, and pure relaxation.
