Monstercat Compound’s 6th Year Takes Place August 26 Featuring CHYL
Now in its sixth year, Monstercat Compound is set to captivate music lovers and electronic music enthusiasts on Saturday, August 26. For the first time in its history, Monstercat Compound will be an exclusive 19+ event, elevating the atmosphere and offering an even more immersive environment, and doubling its site map compared to last year which will include even more room for attendees, artists, and activities.
CHYL is a bass house & speed house producer based in Los Angeles. After graduating with a finance degree from Columbia University, CHYL quit her job in investment banking to attend ICON Collective and pursue her passion for dance music production.
CHYL’s high energy, high speed, and bass heavy productions have garnered the support of industry tastemakers such as Habstrakt, Julian Jordan, Ghastly, Wuki, and more.
CHYL is set to play Monstercat Compound in Vancouver on August 26.

First off, care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hi there! My name is CHYL, I’m an electronic music producer based in Los Angeles. I make speed house and bass house! I grew up in China and moved to Canada (Vancouver) for high school, then to the U.S. for college. It’s such a full-circle moment to come back to perform at Monstercat Compound this year.
Monstercat Compound takes place on August 26, and you are part of this solid lineup. What most excites you about being a part of this event?
Seeing all the Monstercat fans in person excites me the most! I love the Monstercat community and it’s finally time to meet the community in real life. I’m also super stoked to perform my tracks live at Compound.
Monstercat has built up a roster of world-renowned artists over the last decade, of the other artists on the Compound lineup, who are you most excited to check out?
Literally everyone else. Especially Crankdat! I’ve been a huge fan of him for ages.

What’s up next for you in 2023?
I will be releasing my EP this summer and releasing more singles, and collabs with Monstercat artists! Really looking forward to getting more of my music out there and keep building a supportive community. I’m excited for what’s to come!
