After a soft evening with James Bay yesterday, we kept the British pop theme going with Maisie Peters at MTelus tonight!
NJ Singer-songwriter Grace Enger opened the night, with an intimate set of just her and her guitar under dimmed lights.
Up next, Maisie Peters arrived onstage to a thunder of applause! This was the singer’s first show in Montreal! As the tour title, The Good Witch Comes to North America, Maisie and her band played a lot of tracks from recent album The Good Witch, as well as older hits like Not Another Rockstar and a cover of One Direction’s Night Changes. With her impressive voice and contagious energy, it is no surprise Maisie caught the eye of Ed Sheeran and was signed to his label Gingerbread Man Records!
The show was a fun upbeat party, and given how quickly the show got sold out (even after being upgraded from the Beanfield Theater), it would be no surprise if Maisie fills up a larger venue next time she’s in town!
