Zach's Picks of the Week

Zach Coopz is back with more new music on Zach’s Picks of the Week

Good music Monday everybody! I am your host, as always, for some of the best new music on the market. Zach Coopz, presenting my top recommendations of the week from this amazing website that I know. It’s Canadian Beats Media, the home of some of the newest Canadian and international artists you might not have heard of. That is until today, lucky for you that you have stumbled upon Zach’s Picks Of The Week! My special little video gets posted every single week here on our website. Coming up very soon we will get to hear a small clip from each song and I will also give you the link to the respected article. That way you can find all those artists, social media, and all the facts. So what do you say we get into this week’s exciting batch of new music? It’s time for Music Monday!

Five

Beginning this week’s list, we have got Niagara’s very own, JAMES BLONDE joining our ranks this week. Their latest single is bursting with flavours and a lighthearted feel on the track, “Miss You”. It’s available now across all your favourite streaming platforms, so be sure to add it to your recommended playlist. It delivers a pop rock, modern alternative, feel, and what to expect from their upcoming sophomore album, Chameleon. Head over to our article to read out more about this incredible band and hear the new single, right through here.

Four

Next up in our list of new music, I’d like to introduce you to Victoria-based rock band, Hillsboro. Who have unveiled their next single, ahead of their debut LP. The new song is called “Leaving” and you can find it across all streaming sites that play music. Sounds like they’re promoting the new LP with some tour dates across the West Coast of the US, plus some hometown shows in Victoria and Vancouver. See the upcoming dates and the music video for “Leaving” here.

Three

Making our way into my top three choices from our amazing website. Has to include the Toronto/Hamilton-based alt-country group, LeBarons. They have unveiled their second full-length album, Days Are Mountains to all sites that play music. It was co-produced by Cone McCaslin (Sum 41) and John Dinsmore (Sarah Harmer, NQ Arbuckle). So many great songs just on this album, including my favourite “Movie”, so be sure to go listen to them in our article just right through here.

Two

A very special choice for this week has to be the introduction to Toronto-based rock artist Carlos Thurler. His latest song to be released is the title track for his upcoming album, “Divided,” which reflects the feeling of handling things on your own. Sometimes you can feel powerless to do anything or make your life better, however, the right call to action can motivate anyone to change. Be sure to check out the new video for “Divided” and our interview with Carlos Thurler here.

BONUS: Canadian Beats Passport

Time for us to introduce a very special artist, in this week’s Canadian Beats Passport coverage. All the was in Middleport New York, we meet a talented alt-folk singer by the name of Evan Anstey. His latest single, “Arizona” is available now on all streaming platforms and was inspired by the somewhat turbulent events that Anstey experienced while working on the new album, Things Changed. Be sure to go and check out the article featuring Evan Anstey’s latest single “Arizona” here.

One

Now, for my final recommendation for this week’s amazing list. Introducing the indie rock band from Toronto, The Alter Kakers captured the torrid experience of a love affair gone wrong in their latest single. “Stopped Being In Love,” which is available to be heard across all streaming platforms now. You can also listen and learn more about my number one choice this week when you explore our interview with The Alter Kakers here.

That’s going to be all of my shows and recommendations from Canadian Beats. Be sure to explore the rest of this website because you never know what’s gonna be around the next corner.  It could be an interview it could be photo coverage, or it might even be so special video content. So go on, scour the ends of our website for everything we have to offer. Until we meet next music Monday, I hope you will enjoy these recommendations I provided. Tell me if they were your favourite or tell me who was yours. But have a great week ahead of you and as always PEACE, LOVE, AND GOOD MUSIC EVERYONE!
